Oftenly, fiction writers rely on imagery to depict the setting and it's effect on the story and characters. Imagery is also used in poems to describe their subjects.
Imagery can be applied to describe various scenes.
The lush green valley swept away the air from my lungs. The beautiful sunset reflecting on the mountains was a sight to see. A cold breeze sent a warm tingle down my spine. The milky white cloud loomed above us. We looked like ants compared to the mountain.
Car horns were ringing everywhere. The bustling streets of Bombay were truly alive. The whiff of exotic indian spices and tropical fruit fused together created a pleasant aroma. The colors of the yellow cabs or red buses stood out boldly from the commotion.
The air felt thick and stale. The only light seemed pale and lifeless. Darkness resonated throughout the desolate room. The creaks of the floorboards sent shivers down my back. Sweat trickled off my brow. I could hear muffled wails from everywhere around me. I fell and bit my tongue. The irony taste of my blood occupied my taste buds. I groped against the rough floorboards for my glasses. I put them on and saw a man standing over me.
"I uses imagery in all of my fictional writing assignments. i also used it in my various do now tasks and projects."
